Have you received a letter from us? If so, your employer or the association you belong to has purchased group insurance from Skandia. With this you can choose which types of insurance suit you.

Here’s how it works

If something unexpected should happen to you, you have basic insurance protection from the public system. On top of this, you can obtain your own insurance cover at a low cost.

Group insurance entails that your employer or the association you belong to has purchased group insurance from Skandia. Thereafter you choose which forms of insurance suit you and your family (spouse, cohabitant and children), at a low cost that you pay for yourself. 

The insurance is voluntary

Group insurances are voluntary, and you can cancel them at any time.

    • Life assurance
    • Disability insurance with Health Insurance
    • Incapacity compensation insurance
    • Accident insurance
    • Child insurance
    • Healthcare insurance

  • This pertains to what is called default enrolment and is a form of enrolment that is used for voluntary group insurance. It entails that new employees or new members of an association or federation are enrolled automatically in an insurance in connection with their first day of employment or membership.

    As a new employee or new member, you are offered favourable forms of insurance from us via your employer or association/federation. This is a benefit since you receive good insurance cover at a low cost, and the only requirement is that you are fully fit for work. You thus do not need to submit a health declaration, which is ordinarily required in other cases.

    You can cancel any of your insurances at any time.

FAQ

  • If something unexpected should happen to you, you have basic insurance protection from the public system. On top of this, if you have group insurance through your employer, association or federation, you can choose various types of insurance that can provide extra financial protection for you and your family – at a low cost.

    You can get answers to most of your questions by logging in to Mina gruppförsäkringar. For example, you can:

    • get an overview of your insurances
    • read about how they work
    • apply for other forms of insurance and coinsure your spouse or cohabitant
    • see prices and monthly costs
    • make changes
    • apply for Autogiro (direct debit)
    • see benefit levels
    • read about terms and conditions
  • If your employment is intended to last at least 6 months and you live and are registered as a permanent resident in Sweden, as a new employee you automatically receive, free of charge, insurance cover during your first 3 months, if you were fully fit for work your first day of employment.

    By fully fit for work is meant that you can perform your ordinary duties without restriction and that you are not drawing benefits for an own illness, injury or functional disability, nor have such benefits pending. Nor may you have specially adapted work, subsidised-pay employment or similar for health reasons. If you are on parental leave, you are considered to be fully fit for work.

    Note that prior to the fourth month, you must decide whether or not you want to continue with your insurance protection.

  • Downloading Mobile BankID is easy, and you can use it to log in from both a computer and mobile phone.

    You need to have the following information on hand for identification:

    • Your personal identity number
    • Your PIN code (which you chose when you became a customer with us)
    • One-time codes (which you receive by text message or by letter). (A code card is used only to log in, not for downloading)

    Here’s how it works:

    1. Identify yourself using your personal identity number, PIN code and one-time code
    2. Approve the terms and conditions for BankID, then click “Gå vidare”
    3. You will now be directed further to BankID’s security app, where you can download your Mobile BankID in two steps
    4. Follow the instructions to download Mobile BankID that you see in your browser

    That’s it! Your installation is complete, and you can log in using your Mobile BankID.

  • If your insurance is coupled to your employment or membership and your employment/membership has ended, then you can no longer have the insurance. Contact us if you want continued insurance cover.

    You do not need to contact us if you:

    • have continuation insurance or a Skandia senior insurance
    • have group insurance via an association and where the premiums have been paid via salary deduction by your employer. If your employment has ended, we will instead send a premium payment slip to you
    • have purchased group insurance via your association and have switched employer, in which case your insurance will remain in force
  • Have you received a cancellation notice/reminder in which we say that we will cancel the insurance if it is not paid? If you do not want the insurance, you don’t need to do anything. The insurance will be cancelled as per the due date, and we will send a confirmation that it has been cancelled.

  • Premiums are paid either through a salary deduction or via payment slip.
